About the client:
We are dealing with a large international client that has a globally known brand. Our client is looking at a large expansion with plenty of opportunity for 2020. Deal within the construction, mining & infrastructure space.
Daily, your role will involve:
- Deliver high end engineering design productions which are cost effective, compliant with relevant specifications, client instructions, Australian standards and other statutory requirements.
- Present and advise the Engineer management team and other members of senior management on any issues or matters engineering related
- Co-ordination and management of the design team, undertaking all engineering task (product design, analysis, product development)
- Strong understanding and practice of QA, ISO 9001
- Execute design works in accordance with requirements of contract scope, with regular communication with stakeholders (internal & external)
- Development and maintenance of design programs or methodologies to streamline the design process (management of design)
- Manage and actively contribute in engineering risk assessments.
To apply you will have:
- Management experience (including strong planning/organisational skills) and able to mentor/coach within the team
- Strong communication skills in all forms with the ability to articulate requirements clearly and concisely.
- Technical knowledge to be able to be an active problem solver
- Heavy industry experience in designing equipment (**mining and mining products advantageous)

- Ability to build, and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Min 5-10 years exp. within similar role
- Salary negotiable on experience
- Strong experience and versatility in the use of Autodesk suite, databases,, Ansys, Microstran and Bulk Flow Analysis (Microsoft suite proficiency expected)
- Salary negotiable based on exp.
