Principal Policy Officer
Randstad are currently partnering with a large range of Government Departments. With continued growth in the Brisbane region, we are looking for experienced and professional Policy Officers to work within various Government Departments.
Your new department
Our Government client is one of Queensland's largest departments. You will be part of a dynamic team that work together to influence change and deliver responsive services that build a healthy and connected Queensland.
Your new role
- You will be providing proactive advice to internal and external stakeholders on applications of strategic policies and guidelines
- Development and implementation of government policies
- Participate in communication activities to educate to stakeholders in relation to the ESM / EST policy outcomes
- Your role will enable you to provide research and analytical advice on issues affecting a whole of government procurement
- Understanding Queensland Procurement Policy
- You will assist in developing and regularly reviewing guidelines, tools and templates to ensure you are applying government objects and achieving desired outcomes.
Your Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you would have skills & experience in the following to be a successful Project Manager:
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Policy position
- Experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated experience in research and analytical support to Whole of Government procurement
- Undertaking policy reviews and advising on strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in strategic policy and providing advice on proposals that influence procurement
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing applications of policies, strategies and guidelines.
Your new hourly rate & contact period
The successful candidate will be offer an attractive hourly rate between $65-$75 + super per hour and be offered a contract through to June 2020
