Business Development Manager | Door Hardware | Brisbane

Work for a national wholesaler selling door hardware products and solutions to construction contractors in multiple sectors. Brisbane based role.

Our client is a proudly Australian business with a national presence and an impressive history. They are a door hardware company who design and manufacture to order for commercial, education, multi-residential and health construction projects. They own and control the own R&D and manufacturing facilities and processes. They have good name in industry, particularly in regards to quality and service. This sets them apart from international and local competitors. Their commitment to quality and service has resulted in impressive local growth. They have a network of offices, distribution facilities and branches Australia wide. They are looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to their Queensland team to manage sales and service delivery in Brisbane.

The Role

This role will be based in metro Brisbane, with regular travel to customer premises and sites. In this role, you will report to the State Sales Manager. You will be responsible for selling door hardware products and solutions. Typically, you will be engaging with architects at design stage of commercial, education, multi-residential and health projects. You will also be meeting with contractor construction companies as they will be your customers and fall under your remit. As part of a national business, you will have all the technical and marketing resources required to win you business and increase share of existing wallet. Once the sales process is complete, you will keep your customer accounts to account manage. In this autonomous role, you will engage in business and project consulting and stakeholder engagement.

Your Profile

You will have demonstrated account management and new business acquisition experience. You will have highly developed communication skills and proven history in establishing and developing new relationships. You will have experience in providing products and solutions that are useful and relevant to your customers' needs.

Experience in selling door hardware products, while not essential, will be highly regarded. Experience in selling to contractors, builders, architects and/or asset managers will be highly regarded.
