Category Development Analyst

The Category Customer Analyst is responsible for helping to create retailer-tailored strategies and communicating category plans to retailers.

Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Category Development Analyst . In this role, you will assess category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. You will be responsible for conducting market specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions and influence management.

Key Duties:

  • Reporting into the marketing manager, you will be looking after Category analysis within the business.
  • Responisble for working across a number of different brands and categories within FMCG.
  • Carrying out data analysis, providing reports, range reviews and making pricing recommendations.
  • Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to drive strategy for new products.
  • Leading shopper insights and providing feedback to the business.
  • Reporting & forecasting on a monthly basis and presenting the reports.

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a category analyst/category manager
  • Ability to be use analytical though processes to be able to plan and forecast correctly.
  • Excellent ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have a genuine passion for marketing, be hard working and results driven.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Have great attention to detail.
