About the role
We are searching for a Ethics and Compliance Manager for the Australia Pacific Asia (APA) region. This role, based in Melbourne, reports to the Chief Compliance Manager.

The successful candidate will work closely with the business and legal team members on all ethical and compliance matters across the region and interact with the Group General Counsel.

What you will be doing
  • Managing Ethics & Compliance program across the region;
  • Identifying and managing corruption and trade sanctions risks across the region;
  • Focusing on continually enhancing the compliance culture across the region;
  • Managing the approval and notification steps under the Ethics & Compliance program for ethics and compliance matters in the region;
  • Partnering with the business and other functional teams (eg: Legal, Finance, and Audit) and to pro-actively identify and resolve ethics and compliance risks and challenges in the region;
  • Delivering, tracking and reporting on employee training programs related to ethics and compliance across the region;
  • Monitoring and reporting on new and relevant ethics and compliance developments across the region;
  • Working as a member of the global Ethics & Compliance Team on continuously enhancing the global compliance framework & systems;
  • Conducting and assisting investigations into ethics and compliance issues across the region.
What you will bring
  • Demonstrated Ethics and compliance experience including prior experience developing and establishing compliance programs/frameworks and rolling them out;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in law, finance or other relevant degree;
  • Extensive post-qualification experience;
  • Previous experience with anti-corruption and/ or trade sanctions compliance;
  • High emotional intelligence with a proactive and collaborative approach to work;
  • Experience with working across multiple countries;
  • Prior multi-jurisdictional experience given it’s a regional role covering Australia and Asia Pacific;
  • Multi-national experience is desirable;
  • Passion for all things ethics and compliance.
