Executive Manager - Investment & Deposits

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Investments Product Strategy the purpose of your role is to manage the structure of the deposit offerings including the appropriate structure for deposits, generating member returns and complying with regulatory requirements.

You are also responsible for delivering on product management and product development for the investment product suite for this business and its alliance partners.

Lastly (but not limited to), responsible for the product management of the businesses range of geared funds including managing the debt component and being the relationship manager with funding partners.

Your Team:

The Investments, Managed Accounts and Product Strategy team within Product is a team focusing on deposits, investments and managed accounts. The team also has a responsibility for product strategy development over a 3 year time horizon.

The team is responsible across all platforms for:

  • Investment Governance;
  • Cash and Deposits;
  • Investment product management and development;
  • Managed accounts; and
  • Product Strategy Development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of individuals that act as the subject matter experts across specific projects relating to the deposit and investment product offerings for the business;
  • Managing the structure of the cash offerings, including the appropriate structure for deposits, generating member returns and complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Product management and product development of the investment product offerings by the business and their alliance partners.
  • Review our alliance partner products and potential offers (working with Distribution) to ensure they remain contemporary and relevant.
  • Ensure fees payable for investment management are appropriate and market competitive for the funds offered.
  • Management of the geared funds including compliance with the debt covenants and that the ~$3 billion portfolio of debt has appropriate interest costs, an active supply of debt and diversification of lenders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that all matters raised are dealt with and drive the management of stakeholder meetings where necessary.
  • Risk Management - Manage the risk of the product set including regular monitoring of adherence to policies, control testing, in-life product monitoring, issue and incident management.

About you:

  • Strong investment product experience with excellent understanding of the surrounding regulatory environment.
  • Strong focus on managing risk.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management experience and ability to engage and influence across multiple business and support areas.
  • Proven capability in project management to implement initiatives and drive change programs.
  • Proven track record of leading a team
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, or relevant field required.
