Security Architect

Our client is seeking a Security Architect to join their team based in Parramatta. You will be responsible for developing and implementing information security architecture and technology solutions to address the current and emerging information security and compliance requirements of the department. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeping up to date with current and emerging security threats and designs security architecture to mitigate them.
  • Emerging security technologies and integrates them into security architecture as needed.
  • Ensures alignment between security architecture frameworks and standards and overall business strategy.
  • Serves as an information security expert and trusted advisor to partners in IT and the business.
  • Leads Hosting program security architecture, identifies design gaps, and recommends security requirements for cloud services.
  • Assists the Business Application Hosting Strategy Program Sponsor/Manager with the planning and delivery of program.
  • Ensure Security requirements, policies and standards are maintained, communicated and made available to relevant programs and projects to ensure delivery adherence.
  • Support programs and projects towards achieving security requirements compliance as well as appropriate security designs and implementations.
  • Provide consultancy and timely reviews, with constructive feedback and directions to IT Strategic, IT Operational, IT Delivery and Business initiatives.
  • Work with the Cyber Security team in developing and maintaining  Security Standards, Policy and Compliance.

Role Requirements:

  • Min 5+ years experience in a similar role as a Security Architect, Security Consultant or Security Designer.
  • 5+  years of experience in information security, especially security architect for cloud services
  • BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (e.g., IT Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, etc.)
  • TOGAF, CISSP, PMP or similar. 
  • Understanding of compliance standards such as; PCI DSS, ISO 27001 etc. 
  • Strong understanding or experience with Security/Network technologies.
