As a part of one of the world's largest logistics companies this market leading organisation offers specialised services within the maritime industry. This company has a large workforce in Australia, operating across a number of sites and ports. Working closely with the local and global HR team, the HR Advisor will have the opportunity to gain exposure to global HR projects and work within a small team of HR Professionals.

This exciting and unique opportunity exists for a passionate and highly motivated HR Advisor. In this varied role you will be responsible for handling all HR related queries, coordinating contracts, maintaining employee data in SAP, HR reporting, liaising with the Payroll team and assisting with recruitment and selection. You will also be responsible for the timely maintenance and updating of the Global HR System (SAP) and will be the Super User for Australia, assisting with HRIS related queries and liaising with the global SAP support team to ensure the smooth running of the system. As well as this you will be involved in developing and running training programs and will be a system administrator for the LMS, providing system training for new users. This is a great opportunity where you will be required to engage and influence stakeholders and also support and coach managers to develop their HR Management expertise.

To be successful in this role it is essential to have previous experience in HR with tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline and advanced Excel skills. Ideally you will have gained experience within a highly unionised blue collar workforce. You will have previous experience using SAP as well as developed levels of negotiation and influencing skills. Above all you will be able to confidently consult with managers on various HR related matters, possessing a strong technical HR ability and excellent understanding of employment legislation.
